What You’ll Do

As a Business Development Manager - Azure Infrastructure, you’ll identify and work with a selection of partners to build an Analytics/Fabric practice. Targeted partner outreach to gain reseller commitment (gives/gets) to building an Analytics/Fabric practice, build, marketing, product and sales capabilities in selected resellers. You’ll utilize Microsoft targeting tools like Cloud Ascent and programs and offers (like Campaign in a Box, X in a Day Partner‑led Workshops or Data & AI Industry Dream Demos) to drive new customer conversations and identify Analytics opportunities with, amongst others, existing Power BI customers, existing Azure customers and (on‑prem) SQL Customers.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Azure channel acquisition and activation to service SMB customers at scale through partners
  • Consult resellers on Designations; Lead blitz weeks/webinars for acquisition; Stimulate RFY activities with low performing resellers
  • Ensure resellers are leveraging incentives and marketing $$ to drive customer acquisition
  • Provide reseller assistance if needed in qualifying opportunity and customer wins
  • Use Cloud Ascent data and drive GTM execution of the Cohorts “Migrate and Secure Windows SQL and Linux Estate”
  • Mandatory attendance of Microsoft driven SureStep events like SureStep Summits and Bootcamps
  • Represent Microsoft by earning the Pitch Perfect Badge for Azure
  • If aligned to specific DCO resellers – engage and enable those partners to target workloads for Azure migration
What You Bring to the Role
  • A +1 years of work experience in a sales/marketing role in the IT business
  • Preferably experience working at a Partner/Hoster/Telco/Service Provider or competing technology vendor
  • A basic understanding of Azure and the Microsoft partner ecosystem
  • Preferred advanced user of Office suite
  • Preferred familiarity with Azure and/or Dynamics products and SKUs
  • An Azure Fundamentals (AZ900) to be completed within 2 months of hire date. Further Azure certification recommended: see Azure training and certification guide https://aka.ms/AzureTrainCertDeck.
  • A minimum 2 years working in IT sales, marketing or business development
