Job summary

A leading logistics company in Gqeberha is seeking a Logistics Operations Co-ordinator to manage logistics activities and ensure compliance with quality and financial targets. The ideal candidate will hold a National Diploma in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or Logistics and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the automotive sector. You will leverage your expertise in SAP and logistics operations to improve processes and support production. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics activities between departments and external providers.
  • Support production with logistics supply issues.
  • Monitor effective use of company systems.
  • Implement KPIs to ensure adherence to procedures.

Qualifications / Requirements

Key Performance Areas
  • Facilitate the achievement of the Department’s Financial, OHSE, quality, sustainability and productivity targets through the implementation of appropriate KPI’s and related analysis tools and processes as well as the control and measuring of the Logistics Service Provider and other departments performance
  • Facilitate the coordination of Logistics activities between various departments and the external Logistics Service Providers
  • Support production with investigations regarding any logistics supply and LSP issues
  • Monitor Logistics Service Provider personnel on effective use of the company systems i.e.: SAP
  • Institute/implement, KPI’s, checks and balances to ensure that the Logistics Service Provider adhere to prescribed procedures and requirements
  • Monitor and measure main processes (KPI’S) and ensure agreed targets, trends and deadlines are running to an acceptable norm
  • Monitor and measure inventory control processes (KPI’S) and ensure agreed targets, trends and deadlines are running to an acceptable norm in order to control stock adjustments
  • Investigate and monitor financial accounts in SAP on a weekly basis and present reports to logistics management and finance management
  • Monitor and measure JIT supply processes and investigate any issues regarding supply
