Prepare financial reports in accordance with required standards. Interpret financial reports and suggest solutions to problems.
Assist with strategy planning and execution. Help in the formulation of business plans and financial forecasts.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Control costs through cost accounting.
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and tax filings.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Perform full bookkeeping and accounting functions up to trial balance.
- Handle VAT and PAYE reviews, invoicing, and debtors' collection.
- Calculate, reconcile, and submit IRP5.
- Assist with strategy planning and execution.
- Identify and manage risks.
- Provide tax-related advice and services.
- Conduct business valuations.
- Perform other agreed-upon engagements in Business and Financial Services.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Matric.
- A relevant bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- SAIPA Membership: Candidate must be a member of SAIPA to practice as a registered accountant and must have passed the SAIPA Professional Evaluation (PE) exam.
- Practical experience of three years or more.
- Demonstrate ethical behaviour and adhere to professional standards set by SAIPA.
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to service current clients.
- Proficient in administration with a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be able to function well under pressure.
