Are you an organised, detail-oriented legal professional looking to play a key support role in a dynamic corporate environment? We are seeking a proactive Legal Assistant to support legal and governance functions within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Governance Support

  • Assist with convening and servicing of board and committee meetings (agenda compilation, minute-taking, resolution tracking).

  • Implement and monitor execution of board decisions and resolutions.

  • Maintain statutory records and liaise with directors and stakeholders where required.

Legal and Contractual Support

  • Support legal advisory processes and assist in contract drafting, review, and compliance tracking.

  • Maintain a database of active contracts, leases, licenses, and agreements.

  • Assist with monitoring regulatory compliance and reporting obligations.

Administrative Functions

  • File and maintain legal records and documentation with confidentiality and accuracy.

  • Coordinate legal communications, assist in mediation or dispute resolution, and prepare reports.

  • Conduct legal research to support decision-making and case preparation.

General Legal Department Support

  • Assist with ad hoc legal and compliance matters across business operations.

  • Support internal policy development, reviews, and implementation.

Minimum Requirements:
  • LLB Degree (or equivalent legal qualification).

  • Admitted Attorney (preferred but not essential).

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a legal or corporate legal support environment.

  • Experience with contract management, legal research, and administrative compliance.

  • Proficient in MS Office and legal document drafting.

Skills & Competencies:
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, labour law, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Professional presence and sound judgment.
