Are you an organised, detail-oriented legal professional looking to play a key support role in a dynamic corporate environment? We are seeking a proactive Legal Assistant to support legal and governance functions within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Governance Support
Assist with convening and servicing of board and committee meetings (agenda compilation, minute-taking, resolution tracking).
Implement and monitor execution of board decisions and resolutions.
Maintain statutory records and liaise with directors and stakeholders where required.
Legal and Contractual Support
Support legal advisory processes and assist in contract drafting, review, and compliance tracking.
Maintain a database of active contracts, leases, licenses, and agreements.
Assist with monitoring regulatory compliance and reporting obligations.
Administrative Functions
File and maintain legal records and documentation with confidentiality and accuracy.
Coordinate legal communications, assist in mediation or dispute resolution, and prepare reports.
Conduct legal research to support decision-making and case preparation.
General Legal Department Support
Assist with ad hoc legal and compliance matters across business operations.
Support internal policy development, reviews, and implementation.
LLB Degree (or equivalent legal qualification).
Admitted Attorney (preferred but not essential).
Minimum 2-3 years experience in a legal or corporate legal support environment.
Experience with contract management, legal research, and administrative compliance.
Proficient in MS Office and legal document drafting.
High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of corporate law, labour law, and regulatory frameworks.
Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
Professional presence and sound judgment.
