This reputable manufacturing company are looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician for their new operational plant in Cape Town. This role requires a skilled individual with strong problem-solving abilities and technical expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance. • Matric (Grade 12)
• Millwright qualification
• 1 – 3 years’ experience in a maintenance technician role (advantageous)
• Knowledge of plastic recycling processes (preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
• Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
• Ability to work both independently and in a team

• Perform pre-shift safety inspections
• Attend to and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns
• Service, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on machinery
• Complete and maintain daily, monthly, and yearly equipment checklists
• Replace and sharpen grinder blades as needed
• Operate and monitor all plant machinery
• Adjust operational settings to maintain quality and efficiency
• Report any processing or equipment issues promptly to the Plant Manager
• Monitor and record PH levels
• Complete inspection sheets and give feedback to the team
• Conduct safety inspections in line with statutory standards
• Assist with routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance
• Perform additional related tasks as required
