Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking an IT Support Technician in Stellenbosch. Key responsibilities include providing in-person and remote support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and stock control. The ideal candidate should have a relevant qualification and experience in a similar role. The position may require flexible hours.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Complete assigned tasks and keep ticket system updated.
- Provide support in person, via phone & remote connection.
- Travel to local sites to provide on-site support.
- Install, setup, configure & troubleshoot hardware.
- Install, setup, configure software and troubleshoot.
- Install, repair, configure & troubleshoot networking.
- Escalate unresolved or repeated tickets.
- User training & assistance with connections.
- Product research and purchasing.
- Stock control and management.
- Various admin duties including reporting.
Education
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide support in person, via phone & remote connection.
- Travel to local sites, using pool vehicle, to provide on-site support.
- Hardware – install, setup, configure & troubleshoot faults.
- Software – install, setup, configure. Troubleshoot faults with provider.
- Networking – install, repair, configure & troubleshoot.
- Escalate priority, unresolved or repeated tickets.
- User training & assistance with boardroom connections.
- Product research and purchasing.
- Stock control – capture, allocate, collect and stock take.
- Various admin duties incl: Capturing, reporting, document & record management.
- Must be able to work flexi hours when required.
