Job summary
A U.S.-based company is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to handle the full finance function, including managing accounting, reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of finance experience, including at least 2 years in a lead role. Key responsibilities include overseeing financial statements, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance. This position is fully remote and requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years’ finance experience, including 2+ years in a Controller/lead role.
- Experience in financial services is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger.
- Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.

A U.S.-based company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to lead its full finance function. This role manages accounting, reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and internal controls while ensuring strict compliance with U.S. GAAP and U.S. regulatory standards. Daily collaboration with a U.S. finance team is required.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CA(SA)/CIMA/CPA advantageous
- 5–8 years’ finance experience, incl. 2+ years in a Controller/lead role
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge; IFRS exposure
- Experience in financial services advantageous
- Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-border environment
- Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
- Maintain internal controls
- Coordinate audits and tax matters
- Ensure compliance with U.S. reporting requirements
- Provide financial analysis and insights
- Improve financial systems and processes
