In this role, you will manage core accounting activities, ensure the accuracy of financial information, and maintain robust internal controls. You will work closely with the Financial Manager and support the broader finance team through reliable reporting, reconciliations, and system management within Sage Evolution.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of transactions.
  • Oversee debtor and creditor reconciliations and resolve queries timeously.
  • Manage month‑end and year‑end processes.
  • Compile and submit financial reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies.
  • Prepare audit working papers and respond to audit queries.
  • Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
  • Manage financial processes within Sage Evolution, including processing, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Support system improvements and drive efficiencies.
  • Monitor cashflow, prepare forecasts, and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with budget and forecast preparation.
What You Bring
  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3–5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant.
  • Sage Evolution experience (essential).
  • Strong IFRS knowledge and proven month‑end capability.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
