Job summary

A cruise line is seeking an experienced sushi chef to prepare a variety of sushi dishes and supervise junior chefs on board. Candidates should have at least 2 years' experience in a high-volume environment and possess a strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine. The position requires excellent knife skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, with flexible working hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a sushi chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of sushi techniques and Japanese cuisine.
  • Fluency in English, additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of sushi dishes according to recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all sushi dishes meet quality and visual standards.
  • Train and supervise junior sushi chefs.
