Job description

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10-15 years of post-qualifying experience with general managerial or executive role experience, with at least 5 years within a similar-sized NGO or business.
• A track record of transforming an organization, as well as experience in business improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of SANParks and the Southern African conservation NGO sector (beneficial).
• Strong commitment to ethics and good governance and a thorough knowledge of King IV in terms of its relevance to the NGO sector.
• Track record of influencing others, networking, building relationships and opening doors to foster support.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Experience of presenting and advising at an Executive and Board level.
• Strong strategic capability and the ability to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
• Experience in working with the media.
• Commitment to continuing development of self, team members and volunteers.
• A genuine commitment to conserving national parks.
• Strong fundraising track record.
