Overview
Our client is seeking a professional to lead complex organisational restructuring and design initiatives, driving strategic transformation through analysis, design, and implementation of fit-for-purpose organisational structures. The role requires leadership of multidisciplinary teams, executive stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, people practices, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage organisational design and restructuring projects across business units. Align organisational structures with strategic objectives, talent strategies, and operational needs.
- Organisational Design & Restructuring: Diagnose organisational challenges and design optimal structures. Develop and implement change roadmaps, operating models, and job architectures. Lead workforce planning, role profiling, and competency mapping exercises.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with executive and senior leaders to co-create solutions. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to gather insights.
- Compliance & Best Practice: Ensure adherence to relevant HR and OD regulations and ethical standards. Maintain professional membership and stay abreast of evolving practices in OD and change.
- Team Management: Mentor and guide team members, ensuring professional growth and quality delivery. Provide project oversight and manage timelines, budgets, and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Minimum NQF Level 8 qualification in one of the following fields:
- Industrial/Organisational Psychology
- Business Management
- Human Resources
- Leadership Development
- Strategy or equivalent
- Professional Membership (Mandatory): Valid, current certificate or letter of membership from one or more of the following:
- SABPP – HR/Organisational Development Practitioners
- HPCSA and/or SIOPSA – Industrial/Organisational Psychology Practitioners
- COMENSA, ICF SA, or IGCCP – Professional Coaches or Consultants
- IMCSA – Senior Management Consulting Credentials
- Or equivalent certificate from a registered South African professional body
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of proven experience in:
- Organisational restructuring and design
- Change management and operating model design
- Leading high-impact organisational transformation projects
- Working with C-suite or executive leadership
Core Competencies
- Strategic thinking and systems perspective
- Advanced stakeholder management and facilitation skills
- Strong analytical and organisational diagnosis capability
- Deep understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter)
- Leadership and mentoring abilities
