In this role, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing all commercial , managing client relationships and implementing strategies to improve profitability. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in maritime and experience in commercial management.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives
- Manage client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers and partners
- Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions when needed
- Lead and motivate the commercial team to ensure operational excellence
- Represent the company in industry events and conferences
- Submit all proposals / tenders and track open bids or proposals submitted and ensure timely follow up action with Clients until award outcome
- - Represent Company to attend industry events associated with the renewables markets to promote our services
- - Provide reporting or updates in Monthly Management Review meeting to Senior Management
- 5+ years of experience in commercial management/ Shipyard commercial / Business Development in the maritime industry
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field preferably from Naval Architect or marine engineering
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies
- Ability to work independently and lead a team
- Willingness to travel and attend clients/ industry events as needed
- Those from the shipyard / ship repairs/ marine engineering company will be added advantage
