THE TASK AT HAND
The Role
The Creative Designer at Needle sits at the intersection of creativity and innovation, translating strategy and storytelling into compelling visual form that both humans and our AI can understand. You'll craft multiformat visual assets, including digital, social, and editorial content, ensuring each output aligns with brand identity, cultural nuance, and Needle's creative standards.
Working closely with the Creative Lead, Strategy, and Production teams, you'll contribute to building narratives that resonate, support client initiatives, and enhance brand perception.
Your design work will not only deliver immediate client value but also help train our AI systems through clean, modular, and adaptable design patterns.
Time breakdown: Approximately 60% focused on creative design work and 40% on prompting and structuring design systems that enhance our AI capabilities.
Creative Execution & Visual Storytelling
Objectives:
- Execute high-quality design work that aligns with Needle's creative vision and
client objectives.
- Translate brand strategies and ideas into cohesive visual systems and deliverables
Means of Implementation:
- Develop static and motion-based assets for digital, social media, and editorial applications
- Adapt visual concepts into multiformat design outputs, including toolkits, look & feel guides, campaign layouts, key visuals, social posts, decks, and email templates
- Collaborate with Creative Leads, Copywriters, and Art Directors to execute projects with attention to craft, narrative, and audience
- Stay curious and proactive about design trends, culture, and innovation, infusing work with relevance and freshness
KPIs:
- Quality and consistency of design across deliverables
- Internal and client feedback on visual execution
- Timeliness of design delivery against project timelines and specs
Brand Systems & Design Integrity
Objectives:
- Ensure all design outputs adhere to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and system consistency in a way our Ai model can learn from to deploy at scale
- Elevate the visual coherence of Needle's clients across all touchpoints
Means of Implementation:
- Apply and evolve brand identity systems to ensure consistency across all executions
- Partner with Strategy to interpret audience insights and brand positioning visually
- Conduct visual research and build mood boards and inspiration references to support concept development that can feed our Ai model through time
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of modular design systems, templates, and reusable elements that maintain brand integrity while enabling scalability

- Positive client feedback on branding and design systems
- Contribution to the Ai model's structured learning assets
Collaboration & Workflow Integration
Objectives:
- Work seamlessly with internal teams to translate briefs into creative output, meeting production and delivery timelines
- Ensure open collaboration and communication across departments
Means of Implementation:
- Attend briefings, reviews, and team check-ins to align on direction, expectations, and feedback
- Share progress at relevant stages and respond constructively to internal and client feedback
- Support Creative, Production, and Client Servicing teams with timely delivery of design assets
- Deliver assets on time and organize files cleanly within Needle's project management tool (Notion)

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & TOOLS
- Proven experience (2+ years) in graphic design or visual communication, preferably in an agency or content studio
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital campaigns, layout design, brand systems, and editorial storytelling
- Proficiency in modern design tools, including Figma Canva, and motion design capabilities. (After Effects, etc.). Relevant Adobe Creative Suite experience is also valuable
- A passion for culture, design, and purpose-driven storytelling
- Curiosity about AI and the future of creative technology
