The Senior Programme Manager will be working in a new product category within Dyson’s wider product development organisation. Reporting into the Head of Product Programmes, the role entails leading multi-disciplinary project teams in different international locations spanning the design and development, manufacturing engineering, product quality and reliability, operations and commercial functions to develop new Dyson products from concept definition to launch. As a key collaborator and influencer across the organisation, the Senior Programme Manager is pivotal to enable the project, or programme of projects to deliver the business objectives across time, cost and spec.
Hold, or demonstrate an understanding of, formal project management qualifications (such as APMP) or Project Management degree.
Degree in Engineering or Science or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience. Knowledge and some experience of Systems Engineering preferred.
8+ years' experience of managing technical or manufacturing projects end to end, preferably in a medical device industry.
Proficiency and hands-on experience with ISO13485 standards are essential requirements for this role.
Candidates with knowledge and experience of developing Electronics Systems HW and SW preferred.
Candidates with project Life Cycle Management experience preferred.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, notably Microsoft Project.
Candidates with exposure to procurement, supply chain, build planning and marketing & sales preferred.
Experience of managing people, mentoring, developing and coaching.
Excellent interpersonal skills: able to build and leverage productive working relationships to deliver through others.
Outstanding programme and project management capabilities focused on delivery (i.e. leadership, senior stakeholder management and communication, risk management, issue resolution, budget tracking, benefits analysis, estimating and planning etc).
Authentic leadership: able to provide clear, collaborative direction towards a common goal.
Strong communicator: able to listen and convey complex issues concisely and accurately to all levels in the business.
Excellent analytical skills: able to use sound analytical assessment to make data driven, evidenced conclusions.
