Responsibilities

1. Growing the commodity client franchise by originating new clients via personal contacts, networking events and collaboration with internal partners such as brokers.
2. Provide high-quality sales coverage across Southeast Asia with a special focus on Thailand for OTC Commodities. This includes quoting, deal execution and providing market colour to clients.
3. Travelling within the key market is expected. The right talent will be required to make occasional trips to Thailand and maybe other countries to meet up with the clients.
4. Responsible for co-ordinating KYC/onboarding and Credit approvals for new clients.
5. Provide market colour/suggest trading ideas to clients depending on their exposures.
6. Depending on business needs, this role may be required to manage 1-2 junior team members.
7. The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time.

Competencies, Skills, Experience

1. Direct sales experience in OTC commodity derivatives and a proven P&L track record.
2. Familiarity with financial derivatives (futures, swaps, options) is a must.
3. Familiarity with commodity underlying, focus on energy (oil, coal, emissions).
4. Knowledge of onboarding/credit approval procedures as well as legal documentation.
5. Strong customer focus and ability to develop and manage your own direct client base.
6. Team player and ability to collaborate with various internal stakeholders.
7. Strong risk and compliance ethic with ability to conduct business within Company’s policies & procedures and applicable rules and regulations.
8. Prior experience or strong familiarity with the Thai market and its dynamics is highly desirable.
9. Proficiency in the Thai language is a plus to facilitate effective communication with Thai clients and stakeholders.
10. A solid understanding of Thai business culture and practices is beneficial for building strong client relationships.
