Job summary
A leading furniture company in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Officer. This role involves managing sourcing and procurement for retail and projects, negotiating terms with suppliers, and ensuring seamless purchase order processing. Ideal candidates should possess a diploma in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management, have at least 2 years of experience, and be proficient in English and Mandarin. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside the ability to work under pressure. Company transport from Yew Tee MRT Station is available.

- Manage sourcing and procurement needs for Singapore retail, Taiwan retail, and local projects.
- Handle supplier accounts, negotiate for best terms, and establish strong working relationships with suppliers.
- Maintain supplier master list and pricing records.
- Issue purchase orders and follow up on import documentation, payments, QC inspections, shipping, and transportation.
- Work closely with Inventory Control & Logistics Department to inspect all new products received and follow up on SQRs and product feedback.
- Plan, attend, and follow up on local and overseas trade shows.
- Oversee and cross-check team’s work.
- Diploma in Purchasing Management / Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience preferred.
- Experience with SAP systems is an advantage.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin (to liaise with English & Mandarin-speaking counterparts).
- Detail-oriented with strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player, self-driven, responsible, with integrity and able to work under pressure.
- Able to start work at short notice.
- 5-day work week
(Mon – Thurs: 8:45 AM – 6:15 PM | Fri: 8:45 AM – 5:45 PM)
- Company transport provided from Yew Tee MRT Station.
