Job description
Job Summary:

The candidate will join the operations team managing containerized and bulk shipments of palm and lauric oils and oleochemicals. This role requires close coordination with customers, shipping liner, hauliers, port authorities, surveyors, brokers/agents, insurance and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of cargo, with a strong focus on product integrity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination:
  • Coordinate vessel nominations, tank bookings, and shipping instructions with shippers, customers, shipping liner and charterers.
  • Coordinating instructions with shipping agent and surveyor to ensure smooth delivery of cargo from port onto vessels.
Documentation & Operational Responsibilities:
  • Contract administration with internal and external parties.
  • Checking and verifying all payment and contractual terms, shipping instructions are in contractual conformity.
  • Appointment and liaison/coordination of surveyor job for shipment sampling/analysis/certification job scopes.
  • Review post shipment loading/discharge operations from time-logs and statement of facts for conformities and/or abnormalities.
Reporting & Process Improvement:
  • Maintain accurate shipment tracking and status reports.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or related field. Fresh Grads keen to seek a career in shipping operations are welcome to apply as well.
  • Exposure to international shipping practices, Incoterms, and documentation requirements. Familiarity with ISO tanks, container, flexibags, bulk tankers, and related handling procedures will be advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office and adobe.
  • A proactive, organized, and problem-solving approach to daily operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to work across departments and with external stakeholders.
