Our client is among leading adhesive manufacturers across the region, with manufacturing sites employing over 100 people. Our client is looking for a Plant Manager to oversee all technical functions on site.

Reporting into the Director, Manufacturing (Specialty Chemicals), you will be responsible for managing the entire Industrial Adhesives site in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. You will manage the Production, Maintenance, Warehousing, Quality Assurance, Sales Support and Product Development functions in close liaison with the plant support departments such as Finance and Sales.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Ensure the production goals are consistently met.
• Develop and prepare the manufacturing budgets and ensure they are properly executed.
• Manage the maintenance function and ensure all the maintenance plans are efficient.
• Manage Capex projects / assignments.
• Develop and enforce QHSE policies and procedures.
• Regularly look at continuous improvement techniques to improve production processes and to cut costs.
• Ensure the factory is running efficiently by closely monitoring inventory and waste management.
• Control the quality of all finished products with a zero tolerance for substandard quality.

The successful candidate must hold an Industrial Management or Engineering university degree with a minimum of 10 years of work experience within the industrial adhesives manufacturing industry. Preference will go to candidates who carry a Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) credential from the Association for Operations Management (APICS). It is crucial that the successful candidate understands the adhesives manufacturing process.

Our client provides high quality products mainly in the business-to-business sectors in the broader Middle East, Africa and Indian subcontinent. The Group has regional offices and distribution centres throughout the MENA region. The Group initially focused on consumer packaging but branched out into beverage packaging, industrial packaging, adhesives technologies, construction chemicals, surface treatment chemicals and, most recently, food flavours. Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries have typically constituted the core market for the Group's products, but the Group continues to diversify its sales geographically to other countries in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent.
