Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Engineer (Mechanical & Technical Drawing) to develop and interpret technical drawings and collaborate with design teams. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in CAD software is essential. - Develop and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for mechanical systems and components.
- Create 2D and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure accurate execution of drawings.
- Review and revise drawings to reflect design changes and maintain up-to-date documentation.
- Ensure drawings comply with industry standards (e.g., ANSI, ISO, GD&T).
- Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for manufacturability and efficiency.
- Maintain drawing databases and version control processes.
- Conduct tolerance analysis and assist in prototype and production phases.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and dimensioning practices.
