Champion the facility’s risk management program through the corporation’s Business Operating Systems (BOS) to minimize physical and financial exposure related to injuries, illnesses, and environmental compliance.

Keep abreast of local HSE laws & regulations and initiate proactive measures to ensure full compliance with legal requirements.

Respond to and investigate environmental incidents and spills, perform root-cause analyses and implement corrective and closure actions.

Identify, develop, and facilitate HSE-related training programs (including environmental and safety training) for all employees.

• Advise Plant Management on HSE-related issues; actively participate as a member of the Plant Ergonomic Team, Launch/SDT Team etc.

Utilize lean manufacturing methodologies to support health, safety, and environmental initiatives.

Conduct regular audits, inspections, and reviews of HSE programs; implement disciplinary actions for non-compliance where necessary.

Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance HSE competitiveness and customer satisfaction.

Provide first aid treatment for workplace injuries/illnesses and maintain accurate medical records.

Establish and maintain the Fire Safety Program, Emergency Preparedness & response Procedure and continually identify any new potential emergencies and addressed it accordingly.

Develop and deliver HSE induction programs for new hires, existing employees, contractors and visitors.

Evaluate facilities for safety hazards and environmental aspects & impact and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Conduct daily HSE reviews and periodical ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, BOS and Adient Manufacturing System audit and other related HSE audits eg. Customer, DOSH, DOE, ST etc.

Execute HSE committee meetings and foster employee engagement in HSE programs.

Identify ergonomic risks and recommend improvements to reduce workplace injuries.

Stay updated on new HSE related legals, policies, standards, and best practices through continuous learning and professional networking.

Education: Degree in Occupational Safety & Health and Environment or any Engineering discipline with min. 6 years experience working as HSE Specialist/ Executive.

Experience: For Degree holder in Occupational Safety & Health and Environment required min. 5 years experience working as HSE Specialist/Executive. For Degree holder in any engineering discipline required min. 6 years working as HSE Specialist/Executive.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management-CePSWAM – ensure compliance with scheduled waste management regulations.

Competent OSH Coordinator – Perform OSHA Coordinator duties to ensure adherence to occupational safety standards.

Trained Ergonomic Risk Assessor (Initial & Advance) recognized by DOSH.

ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 50001 Internal Auditor.

Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge and proven ability to interpret and apply local legal (e.g., OSHA, EQA, UBBL, ST, SW Corp etc) .

Risk Assessment & Management: Expertise in conducting systematic HSE risk assessments as per ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 system and developing effective mitigation strategies.

System Auditing: Proficiency in conducting internal and external HSE management system audits (i.e ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001) to ensure continuous improvement and compliance assurance.

Incident & Emergency Management: Proven ability to lead and facilitate detailed incident investigations (including near-misses) using structured methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) to identify systemic failures.

Emergency Preparedness: Skill in developing, implementing, and drilling comprehensive Emergency Response Plans (ERP).

Data Analysis & Reporting: Competency in analyzing HSE metrics (KPIs, TRIR, LTI, energy & waste intensity) to identify root cause and required corrective action.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary for delivering clear safety messages, presenting findings to senior management, and developing effective safety documentation.

Training & Mentoring: Ability to design and deliver engaging and effective HSE training programs to diverse audiences (management, technical staff, contractors, and production line workers).

Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, support functions and external regulators to achieve HSE objectives.
