Job summary
A leading retail company in Malaysia is looking for a skilled plumber to join their team. Responsibilities include troubleshooting plumbing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Applicants should possess relevant plumbing certifications, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. The role may require travel within Klang Valley or outstation.
Qualifications
- Experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.
- Understanding of safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively.
- Respond to emergency plumbing situations when necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems.
Skills
Education
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues (e.g., leaks, pipe blockages problems.)
- Respond to emergency plumbing situations. (if required)
- Ensure compliance with regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Perform preventive maintenance for all the pipings and grease trap in store outlets.
- Inspect plumbing systems for safety and functionality.
- Proven plumbing experience (residential, commercial, or industrial).
- Knowledge of plumbing regulations and safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- SPM, diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant plumbing certifications.
- Valid driver’s license B2 or D and reliable transportation (for fieldwork).
- CU Mart, Mynews Mart, Super Value Mart, Maru Coffee, and WHS store outlets.
- Ability to work in tight or challenging spaces and environment.
- Willing to travel within Klang Valley and Outstation (if required).
