A leading property and investment company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Purchasing Executive / Quantity Surveyor to source and manage vendors, ensuring the timely delivery of quality materials while coordinating with various departments. Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, be fluent in English, Malay, and Chinese, and possess strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying. The role demands excellent multitasking abilities and a minimum of 2 years' experience.
Source, manage and negotiate with vendor database to receive best value products/materials.
Preparing PO, expedite orders and deliveries.
Ensure all orders are delivered on time (local & overseas), accurately, in good condition and is communicated to the related departments.
Identifies and evaluates suppliers, arranges for transportation of purchased materials.
Assist operations in coordination and administrative (i.e. cost for tender) matters.
Any others ad-hoc tasks assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management,Logistics, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying or related fields.
Need to be literate in English, Malay, Chinese (to deal with suppliers from China).
Strong understanding of Q&S is required.
At least 2 years working experience in related position/industry.
Ability to work closely with various teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
