The Graphic Memory Controller (GMC) is an IP that delivers into all SOCs that are shipped by AMD's Radeon Technology Group. We deliver discrete graphics, Data Center GPUs and Game Console APUs using a flexible controller design as the base for all our IP. We are looking for a design verification engineer in the Dram Controller IP at AMD's Penang Design Center. You will be working in a fast‑paced, complex environment where you will be challenged to provide elegant, robust solutions for increasingly complex features. This is a highly visible position in a growing team. Leadership opportunity is available.

We are seeking a highly skilled Verification Expert to join and lead our newly established verification team as a Staff Engineer or Manager. This role is crucial to ensuring IP quality through rigorous verification processes.

• Lead and Manage: Oversee the design verification team to deliver on IP quality and project goals. Take a hands‑on approach to guide the team's technical direction.
• Develop Verification Environments: Build and enhance comprehensive UVM or formal testbenches to verify new design features and ensure thorough coverage.
• Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: Work closely with IP architects, hardware designers, verification engineers, and other stakeholders to define and implement efficient verification strategies.
• Mentor and Guide: Coach junior engineers in advanced verification methodologies, fostering best practices and professional growth.
• Communicate Effectively: Present results and project status to cross‑functional teams, offering insights and actionable recommendations.
• Drive Process Improvement: Continuously refine design verification processes and contribute to the evolution of the organization’s verification capabilities.

• Extensive Verification Experience: Demonstrated expertise in design verification for complex IP or system‑level projects with UVM methodology.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Proven ability to lead teams and mentor others in design verification.
• ASIC Lifecycle Experience: Hands‐on experience throughout the ASIC project lifecycle, from planning to tape‑out.
• Object‑Oriented Programming: Solid background in object‑oriented programming principles and best practices.

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
