Job summary
A leading employer organization in Malaysia seeks a Head of Big Data, Research & Information to lead their analytics efforts. The ideal candidate will develop impactful research strategies, oversee policy studies, and represent the organization at key governmental dialogues. A Master’s degree and minimum 10 years of experience in labor economics or policy advocacy are required, along with strong analytical skills in tools like R and Python. This role offers a significant opportunity to shape national and international labor strategies.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in relevant fields; Doctorate advantageous.
- 10+ years experience in labor economics, research, or policy advocacy.
- 5+ years in leadership role.
- Strong background in economic research and labor market analysis.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as R, Python, Stata, Power BI, or Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement MEF's research and big data strategy.
- Oversee economic and policy research.
- Lead a team of researchers and data professionals.
- Represent MEF in government and industry dialogues.
- Manage large datasets ensuring data governance.
