Job summary
A reputable machinery services company based in Kluang is seeking a skilled technician to perform repairs on various types of machinery. Ideal candidates should possess technical certificates in Mechanical or Electrical fields, along with 3 years of experience. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu is required. Responsibilities include adhering to safety standards, maintaining cleanliness, and managing documentation. This role requires willingness to travel on short notice.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate or Technical Certificate.
- 3 years of working experience required.
- Willing to travel on job assignments with short notice.
Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs on all types of supported machinery in compliance with standards.
- Maintain documentation of work performed including Time Cards and repair reports.
- Ensure workplace cleanliness and safety standards are met.
Skills
Education
Carry out repairs on all types of SDI supported machineries and equipment in compliance to standards set by principals & divisional SSD requirements.
Activities require handling and grasping with hands while performing repairs and maintenance of equipment by utilizing hand tools, power tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls and other parts.
Locate and make reference to AE Service publications in softcopy and hardcopy formats
Makes decisions on AE parts required for completion of AE Service jobs.
Communicates with leading technicians & AE Service seniors for equipment maintenance and repair requirements.
Upon completion of the AE Service job, maintains paperwork documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner including Time Cards, parts returns & other repair related reports deemed necessary.
Ensure workplace/workshop condition and cleanliness according to SSD requirements
Load & unload equipment from “carriers” whilst complying to SSD requirements.
Ensure all repair procedures are carried out according to the service manual instructions
Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, maintaining good housekeeping
Ensure service jobs are completed efficiently within the Standard Job Hour guidelines
Conduct checking on parts service physically in the parts store and deliver them to the workshop whenever necessary
Abide by all safety standard and practices while working in the workshop and field/site at all times
Abide by company regulations and standing instructions
Communicate well technically and efficiently to all levels of service staff and customers
Willing to travel on job assignment with short notice
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic from MLVK or equivalent.
- Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronic are encouraged to apply,
- 3 years’ of working experience
- Proficient in spoken & written English and Bahasa Melayu,
- Able to work with minimum supervision,
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with positive attitude.
