Job summary

A leading technology firm in Penang is looking for a Reliability Test Assistant. This role involves assisting in setup and execution of testing processes, data collection, and analysis, as well as maintaining testing equipment. Ideal candidates will hold a diploma in Electronics or Mechanical Technology along with at least 1 year of laboratory experience. Attention to detail, basic computer skills, and knowledge of ISO 9001 principles are also required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting or related field.
• Basic understanding of ISO 9001 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and conducting reliability tests and environmental stress screenings.
• Monitor test equipment and record test data accurately.
• Prepare test samples and fixtures as required.
• Conduct basic inspections and measurements during testing.
• Collect and organize test data using spreadsheets and other software tools.
• Assist in analyzing test results and prepare reports.

Job description

Assist in setting up and conducting reliability test, including environmental stress screening, accelet=rated life testing, mechanical testing and field test.

Monitor test equipment and record test data accurately.

Prepare test samples and fixtures as required.

Conduct basic inspections and measurements during testing.

Data Collection & Analysis

Collect and organize test data using spreadsheets and other software tools.

Assist in the analysis of test results, including identifying trends and anomalies.

Prepare basic reports and charts to summarize test data.

Equipment Maintenance

Ensure test equipment are maintained and calibrated according to established procedures.

Troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.

Ensure the reliability laboratory is clean, organized and safe.

Support Activities

Assist reliabilities engineers in other tasks as needed, such as failure analysis, data entry, and report preparation.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability testing processes.

Other task assigned by the Lab Manager.
