A technology services company located in Kulai, Malaysia is seeking an Infrastructure/Facilities Engineer & Technician to conduct equipment inspections, provide technical support, and maintain critical systems within their data center. The ideal candidate has a diploma in engineering, experience in facility maintenance, and strong teamwork and communication skills. This position will involve routine inspections, emergency response support, and documentation management to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Inspection & Documentation: Conduct daily inspections of data center equipment, including high- and low-voltage power distribution, UPS systems, diesel generators, cooling water systems, pumps, cooling towers, chilled/freezing water pipelines, precision air-conditioning units, and fans. Ensure accurate recording and reporting of inspection results.
System Monitoring: Continuously monitor power supply and environmental control systems to ensure stable and efficient operation.
Anomaly Handling: Identify and make preliminary assessments of abnormal conditions or alarms during inspections/monitoring, and escalab prompt to relevant personnel.
Maintenance & Servicing: Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of electrical distribution facilities and related equipment.
Technical Support: Assist senior engineers with specialized maintenance and troubleshooting of infrastructure systems.
Emergency Response: Participate in emergency repairs and provide on-site support during critical incidents to restore operations quickly.
Documentation & Record Management: Maintain, organize, and archive O&M records, technical documents, blueprints, and tools to ensure proper traceability and compliance.
Other Duties: Support additional tasks or projects as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/HVAC, or a related discipline.
Experience: Prior experience in data center operations, facility maintenance, or equipment installation is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with power distribution systems, HVAC principles, and industry standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD software is an advantage.
Certifications: Possession of an electrical worker license, high-voltage entry permit, or refrigeration certification is preferred.
