Reporting to: Facilities Manager

Working hours: Monday – Friday (8.30am-5.30pm) Sat: 9am-1pm

A Facility Technician maintains and repairs a facility's physical infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient environment. Key duties involve performing routine inspections, diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs on equipment and systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

• Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Perform regular checks on facilities and equipment to identify potential problems and schedule necessary repairs.
• Oversee the maintenance and functioning of building systems like heating, air conditioning, lighting, and water systems.
• Complete a variety of general repair tasks, including carpentry, painting, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to relevant safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and prepare reports as needed.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance as per the 52 Weeks PM Calendar
• Monitor contractors work, verify and sign the service report

• Ensure 100% safety and regulatory compliance

• Vendor Management and Excellent Reporting

• Technical Aptitude: A strong ability to work with and understand various technical equipment and systems.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent ability to diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and find effective solutions.
• Customer Service: Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively assist customers and store staff.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain meticulous records.
• Physical Fitness: Stamina and the ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting or working in various store environments.
• Flexibility: Adaptability to a variety of tasks and changing work environments.
• Basic Computer Skills: For record-keeping, inventory management, and using relevant software.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with building systems and equipment.
• Tool Proficiency: Experience using various hand tools and equipment for repairs.
• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, facility managers, and other department
• Ability to read and digest electrical and mechanical schematic diagram.

• Vocational Certificate/Diploma/SKM in Engineering studies
• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in facilities repairs work or building operations with knowledge of maintenance and services.
• Customer oriented, a team player, able to work independently and good interpersonal & leadership skills
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast changing environment
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Willing to work on shifts/public holidays/weekends.
