Job summary
A multinational accounting firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accounting professional for a 12-month contract role. The ideal candidate has over five years of experience in accounting, a strong understanding of Malaysian indirect taxes, and relevant qualifications like CPA or ACCA. This role requires adaptability and effective communication, with performance assessments based on client feedback. Candidates must be either residents of Malaysia or have the right to work in the country.

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and local tax compliance.
- Experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) is an advantage.

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and local tax compliance.
- Strong technical knowledge of Malaysian indirect taxes (e.g., SST, WHT, DST, etc.).
- Must be technically competent, proactive, adaptable, and an effective communicator.
- Professionally qualified (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, etc.).
- Experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC) is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with large-scale accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle is also a plus.
- This is a 12-month contract role intended to support a client secondment.
- The secondment is expected to begin in March 2026.
- Performance will be assessed based on client feedback and internal evaluations.
Candidates must be resident in Malaysia, or have the right to work in Malaysia.
