A leading construction and engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Accounts Executive to assist in managing daily accounting operations, reporting, and compliance. Ideal candidates should hold a degree in Accounting or Finance and have 2-3 years of relevant experience, particularly in the construction industry. Strong communication skills in English and Malay are essential. The position offers opportunities for training in SAP HANA accounting software.
Responsible for assisting in managing the company’s accounting and finance functions. This includes handling daily accounting operations, supporting reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards (MFRS, SST, e‑Invoicing, stamp duty, tax instalments), and assisting in audits and cash flow management.
Assist Senior Executive in handling the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
Record daily transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
Support Senior Executive in preparing journal entries and month‑end closing activities.
Ensure timely submission of SST returns, e‑Invoicing compliance.
Monitor collections, payments, and cash flow. Assist to prepare payment vouchers, supporting documents, and ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
Assist in annual audit, tax filing, and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and internal auditors.
Maintain proper accounting records in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Any other ad‑hoc tasks assigned by management.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience (construction industry is an advantage).
Familiar with SST and e‑Invoicing compliance is an advantage.
Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage, SAP HANA accounting software training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail, able to meet deadlines.
Good communication skills in English and Malay.
