Job summary
A reputable automotive service provider in Ipswich is seeking a Vehicle Technician to handle diagnostics, repairs, and customer service. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of experience and holds a relevant automotive certification. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum, plus benefits including 25 days holiday and a pension scheme.

- At least 2 years experience within a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic role.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues with customer vehicles.
- Plan and schedule repair procedures.
- Explain automotive repairs and provide customer service.
- Perform vehicle service & maintenance tasks.
- Repair and replace brake pads and sensors.
Skills
Education
Vehicle Technician (Mechanic)
- Above market salary up to £60,000/annum (Including bonus/overtime)
- 25 days paid holiday (plus bank holidays!)
- Company pension scheme
- Diagnose and repair issues with customer vehicles.
- Plan and schedule repair procedures.
- Explain to customers the work recommended/completed.
- Test functionality of vehicle parts and systems.
- Perform vehicle service & maintenance tasks (e.g. oil changes, tyre rotation).
- Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
- Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
- At least 2 years experience within a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic role.
- Have a minimum of Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds Certification.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Working knowledge and understanding of diagnostic tools.
