CAD Technician - Richmond - £32k-£40k (DOE) + Benefits

A growing civil and environmental consultancy is seeking a CAD Technician to join their highways and infrastructure team. With a strong pipeline of local authority projects, you'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality designs across highways, public realm, and urban infrastructure schemes.

Working closely with engineers, you'll:

• Prepare plans and technical drawings from concept through to detailed design
• Develop 3D models for highways surfaces and earthworks
• Produce drainage details, including SuDS elements
• Extract and analyse quantities to support design delivery
• Ensure drawings meet relevant highway standards (S278/S38)
• Contribute to the development of design templates and quality standards

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a CAD Technician
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (essential)
• Highways design experience, ideally with S278 and S38 schemes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work across multiple projects and collaborate with engineers, councils, and stakeholders
• Enthusiasm and attention to detail
