Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to carry out both routine and non-routine maintenance of process control instrumentation, ensuring equipment remains safe, functional, and compliant. This hands-on role involves both preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of plant instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled maintenance checks and ensure all activities are accurately recorded.
Diagnose and repair faults on instrumentation and control systems during non-routine maintenance.
Conduct routine servicing on equipment such as transmitters, controllers, and analysers.
Support and perform vendor-specified maintenance activities when required.
Ensure that all site services are maintained safely and in proper working condition.
Respond to emergency call-outs and provide technical support outside normal hours, where available.
Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, hazard-free working environment.
Qualifications & Experience
4–5 years of experience in instrumentation or electrical maintenance within a relevant industrial setting.
Relevant instrument qualification – e.g. recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Instrumentation.
Solid understanding of both instrumentation and basic electrical systems.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
