Howdens Joinery is seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect to join our Supply and Enterprise Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and engaging Solution Architect to work on several interesting and challenging supply chain transformation projects, supporting the strategic vision of Howdens.
It is a permanent role, with options to base yourself at our offices in Howden, Yorkshire, Brackmills Business Park, Northampton, or Raunds, Northamptonshire. The role requires being onsite at least 3 days a week, with the possibility of home working.
What will I be doing as a Solution Architect?
- Reporting to the Lead Architect, you will work on transformation projects, demonstrating strong solution design skills in complex enterprise environments and various lines of business such as procurement, logistics, manufacturing, finance, HR, and service.
- You will align Business, Data, Integration, Security, Application, and Technology domains to create robust solutions.
- You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product management, business analysts, lead developers, systems engineers, project managers, and the broader architecture community to deliver high-quality, feasible designs to development and delivery teams.
- This role involves hands-on work, overseeing and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of deliverables to ensure solutions meet scope, are delivered on time, within budget, and uphold high quality standards to serve our customers effectively.
What do I need to qualify for this Solution Architect role?
- Experience in vertically integrated Supply Chain businesses and the complex solutions supporting them.
- Hands-on experience delivering multiple SAP projects, with deep understanding of at least 2 core SAP modules.
- The ability to guide and assist the Design authority in highly complex, enterprise-scale environments.
- Confident, engaging, and with a strong work ethic, passionate about transformation and innovation.
- A pragmatic problem solver with a can-do attitude, capable of exploring options and devising solutions around challenges.
- The ability to support overall business strategy, transformation, and technology directions.
- Working knowledge of modern integration platforms, system integration methods, and cloud hosting platforms.
- Good understanding of TOGAF and other architectural methodologies, along with knowledge of emerging technologies and trends.
