Futures are working with a well renowned industry leading manufacture, located near Wakefield in West Yorkshire, who is looking to appoint a mechanical buyer. This is an excellent company who have a strong emphasis on quality and a reputation for excellence. On offer is a competitive salary, supporting benefits package and an engineering finish every Friday giving an effective four and a half day week.
Mechanical Buyer - Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading cost purchase of materials and components
Managing stock control to ensure all material is available at all times for the production teams
Represent the department in meetings as required
Develop and maintain supplier and internal relationship
Mechanical Buyer - Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Experience buying mechanical components for a manufacturer
Prior experience working closely with R&D teams
Experience purchasing parts from suppliers in the far east preferred
MRP/ERP experience
