Job Description:
We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Technician/Fitter (2 Shift) at our cable manufacturing site on Wrexham Industrial Estate.
Working on our 2 shift roster - Monday to Friday only, with an average of 37 hours per week.
Shifts rotate weekly between days and afternoons:
- Week one: 7am-3pm Monday to Wednesday, then 2pm-10pm Thursday, and 2pm-9pm Friday.
- Week two: 2pm-10pm Monday to Wednesday, then 7am-3pm Thursday and Friday.
Includes Christmas shutdown, 26 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.

Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, fault finding, and repairing medium/heavy industrial plant and machinery
- Performing preventative maintenance checks and inspections
- Developing modifications to improve plant reliability
- Collaborating with manufacturing and maintenance teams
- Communicating effectively
- Working shifts with overtime as needed
- Prioritizing health & safety
- Lifting and handling plant components safely
Qualifications/Experience:
- Time served with EITB/equivalent Certificate of Craftsmanship
- Hydraulic and pneumatic skills
- Welding and brazing
- Rigging unbalanced loads
- Risk assessment and safety legislation awareness
- High pressure steam maintenance
- Proficiency in MS Office or equivalent
- Ability to read technical drawings
- BTEC ONC Level in Mechanical Engineering
The Person:
- Experienced in all aspects of mechanical maintenance engineering, preferably in manufacturing
- Self-motivated with an understanding of 24/7 production demands
- Good team and communication skills
