Currently supporting a highly established FinTech Company who are currently looking for a number of 'Senior Kafka Platform Engineers' to add to their team.

This client offers that "get stuck in" start-up vibe, but with the resources and backing of a major scale-up.

• Job Titles: Senior Kafka Platform Engineer
• Salary: Up to £110,000
• Location: London (3 Days Onsite)

What You'll Do:

• Own our Kafka clusters, including their deployment, scaling, and ongoing maintenance in Kubernetes environments.
• Implement and manage Kafka Connectors and MirrorMaker2 for seamless data integration.
• Automate Kafka lifecycle processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Enforce and enhance Kafka security, including SSL, SASL, and ACLs.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot complex Kafka issues, ensuring optimal performance and data consistency.
• Contribute to the evolution of our internal developer platform.
• Provide expert support to development teams for all Kafka-related needs.
• Assist with Kubernetes platform maintenance and developer onboarding (up to one day a week).

What You Bring:

• Proven experience managing Kafka in production, high-throughput environments.
• Deep understanding of MirrorMaker2 and Kafka Connectors.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operators and CRDs, especially Strimzi.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka security configurations and replication mechanisms.
• Expertise in Kafka performance tuning, latency reduction, and JVM optimization.
