Senior Strategic Asset Management Consultant

Join Altair as a Senior Strategic Asset Management Consultant and help shape strategic decisions that impact communities across the UK. We are looking for a driven, knowledgeable, and experienced individual to lead and deliver impactful asset management consultancy services in the housing sector.

About the role

Location: Home working, with the requirement to travel to clients and offices as required

Hours: Full time, 35 hours, Monday to Friday

Reporting to: Assistant Director – Senior Asset Management

As part of our growing Strategic Asset Management workstream, within the Assets Team, you will:

• Lead the development and implementation of asset management strategies for a diverse client base.
• Offer expert guidance on housing stock investment, sustainability, compliance, and service improvement.
• Manage and deliver client projects from end to end, including stakeholder engagement and reporting to senior leadership.
• Play a key role in mentoring junior consultants and contributing to business development initiatives.

About you

• Proven expertise in asset management within the housing sector.
• Strong understanding of compliance, sustainability standards (e.g. Net Zero, PAS2035), and procurement practices.
• Exceptional analytical skills, including experience with NPV appraisals[KH1] and stock condition data.
• A confident communicator with the ability to engage clients, residents, and senior stakeholders effectively.
• Experience in project and programme management, strategy delivery, and business growth.
• Comfortable handling, reviewing and analysing large data.
