HR Consultant - People Relations | 8381 | Temporary contract to cover maternity absence | 37 hours per week | £42,463 to £46,732 per annum (Grade K) | County Hall, Norwich
We are looking for a temporary HR Consultant to cover a maternity absence in our People Relations Team to help support the organisation and our people across every aspect of the employee lifecycle. This is a key role within our HR team, delivering everyday people solutions through subject matter expertise, providing support and guidance to managers and actively influencing change initiatives through project specialism.
Role
To be considered for the role, you’ll need demonstrable experience working in an HR role, ideally in a large and complex organisation. In addition, you will:
- Use your initiative and take clear ownership of your deliverables, working autonomously to prioritise and deliver effectively.
- Be proactive, collaborative and willing at the same time to challenge the status quo.
- Manage and motivate colleagues to meet specified objectives.
- Be a strong and visible communicator that can build a reputation as a trusted adviser and coach.
- Be curious and analytical when it comes to assessing how we continuously improve our services.
- Develop, build and maintain partnerships and networks, both internally and externally.
We’re a busy team, so you’ll have lots to get involved with, and will be able to make a positive difference for our employees. You will operate in a complex, fast paced environment; An understanding of HR processes for Green Book terms and conditions and previous experience of team management is desirable but not essential.
This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote and office-based working. A physical presence in our Norwich office is required for a minimum of one day per week.
