Shared Service Manager - Council Tax - Revenues & Benefits ref OR17097
Job summary
A service management firm in Hertford is seeking a Shared Service Revenues Manager responsible for the administration of Council Tax and management of staff. The role involves ensuring service needs are met while providing cover across various disciplines. Ideal candidates should have IRRV qualifications or relevant experience. Homeworking is available, requiring one day a week in the office.
Qualifications
- IRRV qualification or relevant experience is desirable.
- Ability to manage staff across different sites and disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Council Tax discipline of the service.
- Provide cover across all areas of the shared service.
- Administer Council Tax and relevant duties of the shared service.
The Shared Service Revenues Manager will have main responsibility for the Council Tax discipline of the service. However post holders are expected to be able to provide cover for each other across all areas as required to meet the needs of the service, and to deputize as required for the Head of service.
The post in addition to the Assistant Director of Revenues & Benefits Shared service comprise the senior management team of the Shared Service. Their work therefore includes both the shared service operation as well as new business activity and interface with the shared service authorities at all levels
The post holder will be responsible for the administration of Council Tax, all other relevant duties required for the operation of the shared service including managing staff working in different disciplines, across different sites and from home.
The post will be based in Hertford with homeworking available. One day a week in the office
IRRV qualification or relevant experience is desirable.
