JOB SUMMARY
Tackout (Block) Carpet to square by knee kicking carpet and using a nail gun.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
Measure and cut padding materials using hand tools, cutting machines, or templates.
Follow work orders, patterns, or cut sheets to ensure proper dimensions and quantity.
Inspect materials for defects prior to and after cutting to maintain quality standards.
Label and organize cut pieces for production use or inventory.
Maintain a clean and organized cutting area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Track and report material usage
Assist in maintaining cutting equipment and report any mechanical issues.
Collaborate with production team to ensure workflow is consistent and deadlines are met.
Cross-train in other production areas as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess superior time management, organizational and priority setting skills. Have ability to remain composed when faced with competing priorities. Have ability to manage multiple assignments or tasks through to completion.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior Production Planning experience desirable. Customer Service experience helpful. Lead or Supervisory experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. This position may often require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Incumbent will regularly be around moving machinery as well as marked changes in temperature and humidity
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires work in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
