You will be responsible for creating data science solutions that turn data into actionable insights in close collaboration with our business stakeholders. Projects will focus on our global Healthcare Research & Development operations, ranging from optimizing clinical trials to regulatory submissions and natural language processing including Generative AI.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will contribute your expertise to critical projects by consulting on potential solutions, guiding the implementation team, and building solutions yourself. This includes stakeholder management, presentation of results, coordination of work packages for the project team, and the implementation of algorithms. In particular, the Senior Data Scientist plans and leads the development of data analytics techniques, methodologies, and solutions by applying statistical, machine learning, and other modelling methods. Moreover, you help our internal customers to understand and implement the results.

You will be able to leverage a modern advanced analytics ecosystem built on AWS, Snowflake, and Palantir Foundry cloud technology and become part of a team of highly skilled experts. You will collaborate closely with international business teams, the headquarter-based IT team, and data & analytics developer teams located in India and Europe.

• Master or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or a similar field
• You have a minimum of 3 to 6 years of professional experience outside academia and in Healthcare, ideally in Research & Development
• Strong drive to identify new use cases that leverage data science to improve business processes
• Strong skills in Machine Learning, Statistics and Predictive Modelling. Experience in natural language processing is a plus.
• Experience in working with data & analytics solutions such as AWS, Snowflake or Palantir Foundry
• Proficiency in Python, especially using PySpark, Pandas and scikit-learn
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to effectively communicate both with business teams and developers
• Experience working in virtual teams
