Could you be the full-time Train Manager (f/m/d) in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?

The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen.

The Train Manager in the Train Validation department ensures that the test activities on the railway vehicles can take place as planned. In this role, the Train Manager takes care of the preparation and availability of the vehicle as a test object and is responsible for the safety of all participants on the train. You’ll report to Test Team Leader Train Validation and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

1. Represent the Train Validation organization on board the test vehicle during validation and certification activities on Alstom internal and external infrastructure.
2. Be responsible for the preparation of the test implementation on the train and for ensuring train availability, test readiness as well as the overall safety of the test.
3. Coordinate the operational activities of all on-board personnel and ensure their safety.
4. Manage the First Aid Box and be familiar with the alert channels in the event of an accident.
5. Serve as the primary point of contact for the designated representative from the Testing Body responsible for the test campaign.
6. Ensure that the test object's configuration is properly managed and securitization of valid configuration documents.
7. Support the Alstom Test Managers in producing failure reports.
8. Preparation and maintenance of the test book (chronology of test events) and preparation of daily test status reports.
9. Evaluate the train set's condition, particularly regarding modifications, and determine whether the train remains in a safe state.

1. Graduation from Technician or Engineering school (electrical basis necessary)
2. On field experience of Test or Validation Technician
3. General Railway knowledge

7. Practical knowledge of troubleshooting activities
8. Experience in an international working environment
9. Willingness for frequent travel with the test object
10. Fluent in German and English (French beneficial)
