SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Manager will develop and implement sales strategies across British Columbia. The role involves achieving sales goals by effectively selling and communicating the company's products and services to existing and prospective customers. A key focus will be on the pull-through sales process by creating demand at the specifier, owner, and contractor levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Supervise, manage, and develop the Sales Representatives and Territory Managers in the region.
- Meet or exceed sales goals and objectives set by management.
- Execute system selling by presenting Certa-Lok products along with standard PVC and fittings to create integrated PVC systems for end users.
- Create demand by educating stakeholders on the features and benefits of Certa-Lok restrained joint PVC product systems.
- Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of the company’s products and services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with distributors, engineers, municipalities, contractors, and other key contacts within the territory.
- Maintain awareness of industry products, services, competitor activities, and market research data.
- Utilize sales management software to evaluate marketing data and maximize sales efficiency.
- Manage travel schedule efficiently, with approximately 50% travel within the territory.
- Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking, especially in areas like directional drilling and pipe bursting.
- Drive contractor relationships and create pull-through sales through distribution and contractors.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Provide management with weekly market activity reports and monthly territory analyses.
- Coordinate with distribution to forecast sales volume.
- Train and coordinate sales team efforts to deliver top-tier service.
- Collaborate with various departments such as sales management, accounting, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, and customer service.
- Analyze market potential and customer value to optimize sales strategies.
- Plan sales strategies to maximize return on time investment.
- Participate in trade shows at local, regional, and national levels.
- Keep customer databases current and accurate.
- Coordinate bid strategies and maintain bid calendars.
- Respond promptly to pricing and market updates.
- Prepare all sales and expense reports timely.
- Manage travel and entertainment budgets effectively.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or a related field.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, results-driven.
- Strong presentation, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude; capable of presenting technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
