Overview
This position will report to the Corporate Billing Director and will focus on weekly and monthly invoicing. The Billing Analyst is responsible for data entry, calculation, preparation, and issuance of bills, invoices, and account statements. This includes maintaining ledgers, credit balances, and resolving account irregularities. The role involves diplomatic interaction with customers to provide billing information and support to facilitate swift payment of invoices. Additionally, the Billing Analyst provides billing and administrative support to Project Managers.
Responsibilities
- Calculate, prepare, and issue documents related to accounts, such as bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial reports.
- Compile budget data based on estimated revenues, expenses, and previous budgets.
- Prepare period or cost statements and reports.
- Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, and resolve issues.
- Perform clerical duties including word processing, maintaining filing systems, faxing, and photocopying.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing invoice preparation.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer billing inquiries.
- Maintain appropriate files and documentation.
- Recommend payment arrangements for unpaid balances.
- Produce reports, letters, and correspondence as needed.
- Post billing data to profit/loss reports, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents.
- Gather necessary information for billing purposes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration is an asset.
- Enrollment in the CPA program is an asset.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in billing, accounts payable, or receivable roles in service or manufacturing industries is preferred but not required.
- Thorough understanding of general accounting practices.
- Knowledge of provincial and federal sales taxes (RST/PST/GST).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems like Business Central or Navision is an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Other Requirements
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug tests and background checks.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Proficiency in keyboard and mouse use.
- Ability to traverse multi-story buildings via stairs/elevators.
- Visual acuity to view computer screens for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a physical exam.

Pay Range
CAD $65,000.00 - CAD $80,000.00 per year
