Job summary
A MedTech startup in Montreal is seeking a Senior Software Developer to lead a team in developing an AI-powered MR Surgical Navigator. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, strong leadership skills, and expertise in programming languages like C#, C++, and Java. This role involves overseeing software design and development, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the use of cutting-edge technology. Bilingual candidates (FR/ENG) are preferred.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development, focusing on AI and Mixed Reality.
- Proven leadership experience and strong team management skills.
- Experience with Unity engine.
- Fluent in English; bilingual in French is ideal.
Responsibilities
- Oversee design, development, and implementation of software across platforms.
- Ensure integration of AI, machine learning, and computer vision technologies.
- Mentor junior developers and manage code reviews.

Our customer is a MedTech startup developing a surgical navigator that will allow surgeons to quickly generate 3D models from a patient’s diagnostic imaging scans. This immersive mixed-reality technology will be used for education, diagnosis and treatment planning.
In order to accelerate the development of their solution, they are looking for a Senior Software developer, proficient in multiple programming languages such as C#, C++, Java., to lead the software development team for the AI-Powered MR Surgical Navigator project.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software across various platforms.
- Ensure the integration of advanced AI, machine learning, and computer vision technologies.
- Mentor junior developers and manage code reviews to maintain software quality.
- Coordinate with project manager and other team leads to ensure project milestones are met.
- Drive innovation and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on AI and Mixed Reality technologies.
- Proven leadership experience and strong team management skills.
- Experience with Unity engine
- Expertise in multiple programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, Javascript frameworks
- Prior experience with AR / MR development is a real asset.
- Fluent in English is mandatory, bilingual ideally (FR / ENG)
