Senior Corporate Law Clerk
Job description
Our firm is a multi-service law firm based in the heart of Downtown Toronto. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Corporate Law Clerk who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of excellent client service to join our Corporate Services Group.
Your new role
In this role, you will be involved in a variety of corporate matters, including corporate services work such as incorporations, amalgamations, continuances, annual returns, and business name registrations. You will also handle corporate transactional matters, including financings, share purchases, rollovers, and closings. Additionally, you will coordinate with lawyers and clerks in our other offices on multi-jurisdictional transactions and provide Ontario support. You will manage multiple lawyers and their practices.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 5 years of Corporate Law experience at a top-tier law firm. A combination of private practice and relevant in-house corporate experience may be considered. You should be highly professional, able to interact effectively, and communicate with individuals at all levels. Experience working with a corporate database will be a significant asset. You should also have extensive knowledge of OBCA, CBCA, CIA, and LP Act.
