Overview

The Secondary Office Assistant provides administrative support to the school. Assist administration, teaching staff, students and guardians on a daily basis, in the areas of reception, attendance and guidance.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Grade 12 diploma.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Strong organizational and secretarial skills.
  • MS Word skills at the Intermediate level.
  • Advanced word-processing skills.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Proficient in PowerSchool and the reports generated within.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Drive and associated applications (docs, sheets, slides).

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of JDE, SchoolCash.net, EasyConnect and secondary school attendance procedures.
  • Experience with MS Publisher and Advanced Excel.
  • Secondary office experience and Basic First Aid would be an asset.
