A regional government organization in Vanderhoof is seeking a Community Corrections staff member. This role involves providing administrative support, managing records, and ensuring an inclusive environment for visitors. The Vanderhoof Community Corrections team is a group of dedicated professionals committed to making a meaningful impact in their community. This established team includes Probation Officers, Administrative staff, and a Local Manager, who collaborate closely with justice partners such as the local RCMP, Crown Counsel, court staff, and community agencies. The team fosters a respectful and supportive environment that values teamwork, making it a rewarding place to grow and contribute.
As the first point of contact in a community corrections office, you’ll play a key role in creating a respectful and inclusive space for all visitors and staff. This position provides confidential administrative support, manages electronic records and files, and assists with financial tasks. Amendment (November 7): Posting closing date extended to November 21, 2025. This position has full time on‑site requirements. This position is part time (52.5 hours biweekly). An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent vacancies. Vanderhoof is home to the Kenney Dam and sits on the Nechako River, in the flat spot between the BC coastline and the Rocky Mountain Range. Vanderhoof hosts events all year long, including hockey and golf tournaments. A Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) and Enhanced Security Screening will be required. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
