A leading renewable energy company in Canada seeks a Senior Analyst, Risk Control to analyze and manage financial risks associated with energy trading. Responsibilities include producing risk reports, monitoring compliance, and developing analytical tools using Python and SQL. Ideal candidates have an undergraduate degree in quantitative fields and 2-5 years' experience in energy or financial markets. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in energy and/or financial markets.
  • Strong ability to synthesize information for decision making.
  • Experience with derivatives and quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

  • Produce daily and weekly risk reports.
  • Monitor trading activities to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with departments to maintain information.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for risk metrics.
  • Support Risk Control team in various tasks.
